"Today I was working out at the gym, I saw myself in the mirror working out and I realized, I really am not that woman anymore…since my personal journey to fitness began on March 11th 2008 I have lost 50 lbs!
It's so amazing to be getting somewhere, I don't have to dream or wish about it anymore."
Rossy's Inspiring Story
"I had put on 30 lbs with my pregnancy and had gone from being pretty active to be sleeping all the time and sipping on blended mochas and eating apple fritters for breakfast, and gobbling down chili cheese fries and sodas for lunch.
I was eating for two, right?
"Eating for 2" got me to 201 lbs on a 5'1" frame- not so cute.
I truly hated my body …..
getting dressed was literally depressing, the way I felt about my body put me in this funk, this mood I couldn't shake. It was just this baggage I took everywhere, I didn't constantly talk about it, but I constantly felt it.
My tummy bulging over my jeans, my not being able to sit log cause my circulation was being cut off and I couldn't breath well... EVERYTHING seemed to boil down to my weight.
I was willing to try ANYTHING and I really felt and made myself believe that I WAS BROKEN, that there HAD to be something wrong with me, my thyroid, my body-SOMETHING. Cause I really truly felt that I was trying hard! I looked and read about people who lost weight and made myself believe that that could NEVER be me, cause I was broken.
After I looked into my daughter's eyes the moment she was born I knew things had to change. The pain, the anger and hate towards myself, I didn't want her to ever experience an ounce of that or ever see that in me. I cry just thinking about it. I knew something had to be done, but I also knew that in all my efforts I still didn't know what I was supposed to do.
I was able to drop about 20 lbs before I found Fit Yummy Mummy, but I felt like I was working so hard and having very little results. I was going to the gym 5-6 days a week and I was working out about 2-3 hours at a time.
I found Fit Yummy Mummy in October and started right away and it has been such a blessing to me, to my home and to our future. Knowing and being equipped with what I know now is such an amazing way to be starting my family.
I've come a long way starting at 201lbs and a 42" waist in March of 2008 and I am happy to announce that since my personal journey to fitness began ….
I have lost 50 lbs, 12.5" off my waist and 9% body fat!
Slow and steady wins the race! I love where I am taking my body and I have even changed my career! I am just getting hired as group fitness instructor at my gym. I am so passionate about fitness, about knowing your body and about Fit Yummy Mummy.
It's not magic, or something that just works for some people. It is education and exactly what you need to do- straight forward.
Today I was working out at the gym, I saw myself in the mirror working out and I realized, I really am not that woman anymore.
I'm not frustrated with not getting anywhere, I am not hating my body anymore. I am finally doing things the right way! I love it!
I feel like a new person!
The way I think, the way I look at myself and the way I treat myself. I am very proud and excited about my results.
Here is a picture of me last May 2008- it's not a great shot, but you can see how huge my gut was - and me last Monday, June 1st 2009 a year later in the same outfit!
My journey to fitness has changed my life and I remember always thinking how cheesy that sounded when people said things like that, but it truly has. I pray and hope with all that is within me that you all experience what I have.
It's not about losing weight and inches, it's about taking care of the body God has blessed us with. The fat loss is just a natural side effect of clean eating and appropriate exercise. I LOVE IT!
It's so amazing to be getting somewhere, I don't have to dream or wish about it anymore.
Keep it up girls!
We can do it!"

It was like I was reading about myself! Thanks for being inspiring!
My story is very simular to yours. I had one baby (a Girl named Sydney, my pride and joy) I gained all this weight, I worked out alot, still do, and still cant lose the last 10-20 pounds. I was beginning to think something was wrong with me. Maybe a thyroid, something! It has to be something if I can't lose these last 20 pounds! But Now, just like you a year ago, I found Fit Yummy Mummy, (been thinking about signing up for about 6 months now) and decided to take charge! I will be joining the Fall Weight Loss Challenge and I pray that I get the same results you did. Thanks for sharing your story.
